lol I'll try what you suggested when I get home at the end of the week, I'll let you know how it turns out, Thanks again! i repeat :Mboxes do not like USB Hubs! most USB hardware works on a mac without an issue. I'm pretty sure I don't need to power this thing externally - it lights up the same way whether or not it's plugged into a wall outlet.

If the file the webcam software records is in a supported format, you should be able to import the resulting file into your iMovie project by dragging it to the iMovie It's the Mac OS 10.4.11 which is insisting on a firewire cable connection. If the problem was number of USB ports, I would have connected another hub a long time ago. All of Google. if not are you trying to use a bus powered drive with it? again, is this a powered hub?
